Odoo Programmers (Remote, Part-Time)

Position

Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Employment Type: Part-Time / Freelance

Working Hours: Flexible (approximately 10–25 hours per week, depending on project workload)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Odoo modules using Python.

  • Extend existing Odoo Community Edition functionality.

  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL database models.

  • Create and modify XML views, QWeb reports, and security rules.

  • Develop REST API integrations with third-party systems.

  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing modules.

  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.

  • Write technical documentation where necessary.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and project managers to deliver client requirements.

  • Perform testing before deployment.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Python programming.

  • Experience developing custom modules for Odoo (Community or Enterprise).

  • Good understanding of:

    • Odoo ORM

    • XML Views

    • QWeb Reports

    • PostgreSQL

    • Git

  • Familiarity with Linux server environments.

  • Experience with Docker is an advantage.

  • Ability to debug and optimize existing code.

  • Good written English communication skills.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

  • Odoo Accounting

  • OCA (Odoo Community Association) modules

  • REST API integrations

  • Payment gateways

  • eCommerce integrations

  • Inventory and Manufacturing modules

  • Docker Compose

  • Kubernetes

  • CI/CD pipelines
